Cimarron Greenbelts

The Cimarron neighborhood includes several greenbelts that boarder the neighborhood and separate some of the properties.  Most of these greenbelts are owned by the association, however, some are owned by the City of Sammamish and others by King County.

The areas most actively maintained by the association include the greenbelt on the west side of Cimarron that boarders 228th plus the greenbelt that surrounds the park.  The maintenance provided includes maintenance of trails and removal of dangerous trees.  Please be advised that:
  • There is no dumping of any kind in the greenbelts including yard waste.  Violations are subject to a $250 fine.
  • We are not allowed to remove trees or brush from the greenbelts.  Any trees that need to be felled for safety reasons must remain in the greenbelts.
  • Cimarron is not responsible for trees (or branches) in the greenbelt that may fall into homeowner's properties.

The association will remove or trim trees that are determined to be dangerous to causing major damage to homes or persons.  Periodically the association will hire an arborist to review greenbelts to identify such trees.  Residents are advised to notify the association of any trees they believe to represent undue risk.
