On August 9th we will have our first annual Cimarron Spruce Up, a day dedicated to neighborhood work projects. The Cimarron Spruce Up is a new program we have created for 2008. The concept is to have one day per year dedicated to community projects designed to spruce up the neighborhood. We will be meeting in the Cimarron Park at 10 AM.
For 2008, we will do the roadside re-gravel project plus trim the retension pond hedge and replace the playground wood chips. Naturally, the re-gravel project will be the biggest task for the day.
Many residents have been eagerly anticipating the re-gravel project because it will make a huge improvement in the esthetics of the neighborhood. In preparation for the project, we have been killing roadside weeds and cutting them down with the trimmer. The gravel will be delivered on August 8 and we will begin work on August 9th, at 10 AM.
This is the way the gravel project will work:
Pacific Topsoil will deliver gravel to central areas ON EACH STREET.
We will use a bobcat to move the gravel to individual resident locations.
Residents will be responsible for spreading the gravel in front of their homes.
It is our hope that all Cimarron residents will come out to help neighbors spread the gravel. If we work together, we can save some back muscles and get to know neighbors better.
